Kleenex Facial Cleansing Range - Overview and Reviews

Kleenex Facial Cleansing 001

This September Kleenex released their new skincare range.  Yup, Kleenex, the tissue people.  Back in the 1920's their tissues were used for removing makeup and for removing cleansing cream, as they were gentler than towels and wash cloths.  So, nearly 100 years later, Kleenex are back in the skincare market.  When asked if I would like to give the range a whirl, I couldn't resist... so is it any good?

Kleenex Facial Cleansing 002

These face wipes are some of the nicest I have used, heavy duty but soft and gentle.  I prefer to do a proper clean with water etc. but for those times I just can't be bothered, face wipes are awesome.  Therefore I don't see the point in breaking the bank with them.  The Kleenex face wipes are moist but not so much so that they ooze liquid (I hate really wet face wipes!) and they cleanse well.  They remove all my foundation and they remove all non waterproof makeup.  With a bit of rubbing I managed to remove waterproof makeup but I would use the next product for removing waterproof makeup...

Kleenex Facial Cleansing 003

These wipes are very similar to the face wipes except they can remove waterproof makeup.  I found they worked really well however, I don't think I would buy these as I am currently happy with my choice of eye makeup remover (the cheapy Boots cucumber one.)  However, if you are someone who likes convenience I would recommend these as they do what they say on the packet!  And I can confirm, there was no irritation for me, unlike quite a lot of other eye makeup removers I have tried.

I don't usually like these oil absorbing sheets because they always have some horrible powder on them.  These are powder free.  I have enjoyed using them but I don't think they are something I will repurchase.  They do their job but I just don't touch up through the day enough to warrant the use of these.  I don't usually get too shiny and when I do I often use a touch of powder (of my colouring and choice!) to do the job.  I did like the little sticky bit inside the packet though, once you remove the tab to reveal the sticky bit each time you open the pack it automatically pulls one out for you!  NIFTY!  Like I said, they work, I can't fault them but they are just not a product I would use.

Kleenex Facial Cleansing 006

For me these are the star item.  These facial clothes are incredibly soft, definitely softer than cotton wool and are quilted for extra softness.  They are like really thick durable tissues and they are large enough to use for the whole face.  They can be used for anything.  Cleansers, toners, facial milks, nail varnish remover, anything you would normally use cotton wool for.  They don't rip when wet like normal tissue would.  I adore these and would choose these over cotton wool - any day.

I have already repurchased the face wipes and the cloths (Superdrug currently have them at half price!  I have stocked up!) and I am pretty sure I will continue to buy those two items. For me, this range has made me question the quality and pricing relationship of skincare greatly. How can some products be of such high quality but not break the bank?  I really hope Kleenex expand their range as these four items are all items of quality.  Skincare doesn't have to be expensive.

The cost?

I said these were affordable...

Facial Cleaning Wipes - £2.99 (24 wipes)
Eye Makeup Removal Wipes - £2.99 (24 wipes)
Facial Cloths - £1.99 (30 cloths)
Shine Absorbing Sheets - £2.99 (50 sheets)

Fab prices and great quality!

All products shown are PR Samples, this does not affect my opinions and the things I have said are my honest and genuine thoughts.  I see no point in lying to myself, my readers or the brands.  Honesty is the best policy.
